This calf was so young it still had its umbilical cord attached.

Giraffes are beautiful animals to see while on safari.

They are listed as Vulnerable and about 111,000 remain in the wild.

Full of herself…she is a typical young calf… very bold but yet seeking protection and security amongst her new Umani Springs family.

You have to be careful around Mwana because she likes to charge. When this happens it can causes much commotion and the larger orphans will come to protect her.

Time to step back and let her family sort out all the raucous.
